About Me
My name is Ty, and it’s important to be clear about who I am…and who I am not.
I am not a professional options trader. I do not hold a Series 7, and I’m not an industry insider or Wall Street hedge fund manager. I’m someone who lost a lot of money trading poorly, became self-taught starting in 2020, and committed to building a better, more disciplined approach.
Through experience, study, and trial and error, I developed what I call the Put Path Options Trading System: a framework designed to generate consistent results over time while respecting risk and maximizing capital allocation. I have a full-time job, so this system was built with that reality in mind. I don’t stare at trading screens all day. I rely on preparation, predefined rules, and a small number of alerts. I spend minimal time trading each week, allowing this approach to coexist with the other demands of life and to benefit from the passage of time (theta decay).
I post and interact online under the pseudonym “Put Prophet.” But ultimately, this site isn’t about me.
